BISHOP DR. LARRY "TOGBA" BRYANT
BISHOP DR. LARRY “TOGBA” BRYANT, BORN TO ALONZO AND ELMARIE SMITH BRYANT IN ST. LOUIS, MO., ON 01/27/1957 AT 777 WALTON AVENUE. HE HAD HIS FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH GOD AT THE AGE OF EIGHT. HE RECEIVED THE HOLYGHOST WITH THE EVIDENCE OF SPEAKING IN TONGUES AT THAT TIME. BUT AS A MEMBER OF WESTSIDE BAPTIST CHURCH, THEY HAD NOT RECEIVED THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE HOLYGHOST. NEITHER DID THE PEOPLE AROUND HIM. NEVERTHELESS, THE ANOINTING OF THE LORD MOVED UPON HIM AND HE RECEIVED A VISION OF HIMSELF BEING A PREACHER. THIS WAS CONFIRMED AT THE AGE OF TWELVE , WHEN HE LOOKED UPON HIS GRANDFATHER'S BIBLE AS IT LAID IDLY ON THE TABLE AT HIS MOTHER'S HOME (THE SAME BIBLE ADORNS THE ALTER IN HIS HOME TODAY). HE FELT THE NEED TO READ IT AND MAKE USE OF IT IN HIS LIFE. IN TRYING TO READ THE BIBLE FOR THREE DAYS, HE WAS UNABLE TO UNDERSTAND IT. AS BEFORE, THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IMPRESSED UPON HIM THAT HE WOULD BE A PREACHER.
NEVERTHELESS HE WAS A NIGHT CLUB ENTERTAINER PERFORMING WITH LOCAL MUSICIANS AND BLUES ARTIST SUCH AS CHUCK BERRY, HOWLING WOLF, JIMMY REED JR, LAUREL FUSHION, MARVIN HORNS, DAVID HINES, BARBARA CARR, FONTANA BASS, JEFFREY ANDERSON, MASTER STAN FORD (WHO PLAYED AT MY WEDDING AND FOR MY COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP TRYOUTS. HE’S AN INTERNATIONAL PIANIST), WADE BROTHERS CRUSADE, ROBE’, THE BAND ROBE’ (UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF BASS GUITARIST ROBERT WILSON AND THE PHASE SEVEN BAND).
A calling on my life to preach the gospel
HE APPEARED ON THE REGIS PHILMON SHOW IN 1976 AND HE WAS IN AND OUT OF THE OLIVER SAIN RECORDING STUDIO. UNFORTUNATELY SOME OF THE ARTIST ARE DECEASED AND SOME ARE STILL LIVING.
At the age of 18, while performing in the night-club, the Spirit of the Lord moved upon him giving him a vision showing that this was not the will of the Lord for his life. Being obedient to the heavenly vision, he refused his music scholarships to persue his search for God. He abandoned the nightclub entertainment field and took a minister of music position in the church of the Nazarene, which at that time was located in Welston, MO. Here Bishop Dr. Larry "Togba" Bryant learned the true meaning of prayer and repentance.

In his search for God, he read about the Holy Ghost and began to ask God for it. One night, while walking to a prayer meeting, God filled him with the Holy Ghost, and he began to speak in tongues as the spirit of God gave him the utterance. Bishop L. Bryant was only 18 years old. After receiving the Holy Ghost, God led him to the Church of God in Christ. After fellowshipping there for about one year, God led him into the knowledge of the Apostles' Doctrine. Bishop L. Bryant received the revelation of the Apostles' Doctrine by way of the Holy Ghost. It was never taught to him by man.
After receiving the revelation of Jesus Name, he was baptized in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ under an United Pentecostal Church Fellowship. Bishop L. Bryant is a firm believer in the guidance of the Holy Ghost (St. John 16:13, Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.)

During the next five years he served as Assistant Pastor, Youth Minister, Minister of Music, Prison Minister, Evangelistic Outreach Director, College Campus Minister, Convalescent Homes Minister, Sunday School Teacher, Street Minister. During these five years, Bishop L. Bryant had over twenty-two prophecies given on his life and ministry from prophets and prophetess from around the world. These prophecies came from as far as West Africa, the Caribbeans and within the United States.
God called him to Atlanta, GA at the early age of 23, in the year of 1981; he was ordained and sent out by his Pastor from St. Louis, Mo. He gave away all that he owned and gathered his wife and seven children and obeyed the call of God to go to Atlanta. Since moving to Atlanta God has opened up many spiritual doors for Bishop L. Bryant. Through him God has pulled down demonic strong holds. He has worked many healings and miracles through the hands of his servant Bishop L. Bryant. He is a man of fasting and prayer. His heavily anointed ministry is rich with prophecies, songwriting as well as Holy Ghost inspired writings. He is the Apostle of the Tabernacle of David Church of the Apostles’ Doctrine, Inc. The church has been established under his ministry since 1981. He is the husband of Prophetess Cacelia Lynn Bryant, a union of 49 years. And to this union he and his wife has been blessed with 3 sons, 6 daughters, and a host of grandchildren.
